Another business now recognizes gay families: Travel Guard International--which sells travel insurance to help in case of flight cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, and other travel disruptions--now includes same-sex domestic partners in its definition of family members.

"This move sets an important standard for other travel companies," said Robert Wilson, executive director of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association.
